| This production area is located in
our Acme, NC Production Facility. It is used to manufacture a wide
variety of chemical products, using diverse chemistries, and is
staffed around the clock with highly trained chemical operators
experienced in both continuous and batch processing technologies.
Equipment in this area is available for toll production.
Special projects operations are supported by an around the clock quality control
lab staffed by experienced analytical chemists as well as highly trained technicians.
Support analytical equipment available on-site include HPLC, GC, GPC, FTIR, Ion
Chromatography, KF Auto Titrators, Acid Base Auto Titrators as well as an assortment
of other instruments.
These operations are additionally supported by an experienced engineering staff
consisting of personnel in the fields of chemical, electrical, mechanical , industrial
and environmental engineering. We have storage tanks and a rail (CSX) connection.
Ocean transportation is available from Wilmington's deepwater port located 20
miles from the Acme production site.
While we are capable of running many different chemistries in this equipment,
we are particularly experienced with reactions involving formaldehyde, which
is made in large scale in an adjacent area of the Acme facility.
A list of some of the basic equipment currently available for your toll products
is as follows:
- Three 5,000 gal ss reactors
- One 5,000 gal Hastelloy reactor
- Numerous storage tanks
- Internal & external reactor cooling
- Two cooling towers
